Salesforce consulting for Mortgage & Lending

Mortgage is a regulated, high-velocity business where the differences between top originators and the rest come down to operational excellence: faster loans, better borrower experience, tighter compliance, and the AI-augmented document processing that takes minutes instead of hours.

Common Challenges

What we see in mortgage & lending.

The technology and process challenges that come up in nearly every engagement we run in this industry.

CRM stuck behind LOS

When CRM is bolted onto the LOS rather than designed alongside it, the loan officer experience suffers, and so does borrower throughput.

LO recruiting and ramp

Recruiting top producers and ramping them quickly is operational. Most lenders run it on spreadsheets and lose to better-organized competitors.

State-by-state regulatory compliance

CFPB rules, state-level rules, RESPA, TILA, compliance is a moving target and needs to be operationalized, not memorized.

Manual document processing eating LO time

Income verification, asset verification, employment verification, documents are everywhere and AI handles them dramatically better than people.

TRID and disclosure compliance pressure

Every step from application through closing has disclosure timing requirements. One miss and the loan is non-saleable.

Servicing transitions and portfolio sales

When portfolios change hands or servicers switch, the data transition is high-stakes and unforgiving.

Regulatory & Compliance Matters

What we navigate in mortgage & lending.

Compliance is not a separate workstream, it is embedded in every workflow we deliver. The major frameworks we work within:

TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID)

Disclosure timing, cure procedures, and Loan Estimate / Closing Disclosure workflow evidence.

RESPA Section 8

Referral arrangement documentation, marketing service agreements, and compliant lead-sharing structures.

HMDA Reporting

Loan application register accuracy, demographic data capture, and submission workflow.

Fair Lending (ECOA / FHA)

Adverse action notice automation, fair-lending analysis support, and disparate-impact monitoring.

SAFE Act Licensing (NMLS)

MLO licensing, continuing education, and renewal tracking with active workflow enforcement.

State-Specific Disclosure Rules

Per-state disclosure variations, anti-steering documentation, and high-cost loan workflows.

Signature Service Categories

The major mortgage & lending practices our team runs.

Each category represents a deep specialization with dedicated playbooks, accelerators, and experienced consultants.

FAQ

Salesforce for mortgage & lending: common questions.

Which Salesforce setup fits a mortgage lender or bank lending team?

Financial Services Cloud is the typical choice for lenders who want borrower, household and referral partner relationships modeled properly, with Marketing Cloud handling nurture and Data Cloud unifying records across systems. The loan itself usually stays in the loan origination system. Salesforce's job is everything around the loan: the lead, the referral source, the borrower relationship after closing, and the next opportunity. Drawing that line clearly spares loan officers from double entry.

How does Salesforce integrate with a loan origination system?

The integration should push loan milestones into Salesforce automatically so loan officers and marketing never re-key status. Typically the loan origination system remains the system of record for application and underwriting data, while Salesforce receives milestone updates, key dates and contact changes. Point-of-sale platforms, pricing engines and the core banking platform often join the flow. We map which fields travel in each direction and test edge cases like withdrawn and reopened applications.

What compliance considerations apply to lender marketing and borrower data?

Borrower data is nonpublic personal information, so GLBA safeguarding expectations shape access, encryption and retention. Marketing adds its own layer: consent for calls and texts under the TCPA, opt-out handling, and referral partner arrangements that RESPA governs. We build consent capture and suppression into the platform so a campaign cannot reach someone it should not. These are design considerations rather than legal advice, and your counsel should confirm the specifics for your states.

How can AI help a lender prioritize leads and borrowers?

AI is most useful for lenders when lead volume outruns the team's capacity to work it. Scoring models and agents can rank inquiries by likelihood to complete an application, route them to the right loan officer, and draft follow-up. A business lender we worked with, receiving 24,000 leads a month, got a lead-prioritization framework and a Data Cloud architecture to ground AI in full customer context. Fair lending rules mean scoring inputs deserve compliance review before launch.
