How We Help

What we deliver for executive & strategy leaders.

Executive dashboards built around decisions

Real-time KPI dashboards designed around the decisions executives actually make, not the data that happens to be easy to display. Tableau, CRM Analytics, or custom-built.

Unified business metrics platform

A single source of truth for the metrics that matter, built on a data platform that reconciles inputs from sales, marketing, finance, and operations into agreed definitions.

M&A integration playbook and platform

A repeatable methodology and technical platform for integrating acquired companies, CRM migration, data unification, reporting consolidation, within 90 days, not 9 months.

Strategy-to-execution infrastructure

OKR systems, strategic planning platforms, and the operational reporting that ties initiative-level execution back to enterprise strategy.

Board reporting infrastructure

Standardized board reporting templates, automated data sourcing, and quarter-over-quarter consistency in reporting.

OKR-to-execution platform

OKR system tied to operational reporting with team-level execution metrics that ladder up to enterprise strategy.

Common Challenges

What we see in executive & strategy organizations.

The patterns that come up in nearly every executive & strategy engagement.

Reporting that arrives weeks late

Most executive reporting is built on a monthly close cycle that produces a story about what already happened. By the time the data arrives, the decisions have been made, often without it.

Multiple sources of truth

Marketing has one revenue number. Sales has another. Finance has a third. When the executive team meets, the first 30 minutes are spent reconciling whose number is right.

M&A integration as a recurring scramble

Every acquisition brings a different tech stack, different data definitions, different reporting cadence. The companies that win at M&A have a repeatable integration playbook.

Strategy disconnected from operations

Strategic plans live in slide decks. Operations runs on a different set of metrics. The gap between strategic intent and operational execution is where most strategies die.

Board-grade reporting consistency

Board meetings often consume weeks of analyst time producing reports that look different every quarter. Standardization changes the math.

OKR-to-execution disconnection

OKRs in slide decks, execution in tools. The gap between them is where strategy dies.

Salesforce for Executive & Strategy

How can Salesforce give leadership a clearer view of the business?

For leadership, the value of Salesforce is a live, shared picture of the customer side of the business: pipeline, bookings, renewals, service health and marketing demand, all drawn from the records frontline teams already maintain. Executives use Salesforce dashboards and Tableau to review that picture, forecasting to pressure-test the quarter, and Data Cloud to join CRM data with finance and product signals. Einstein and Agentforce features can summarize accounts and surface risks in plain language. The platform only earns trust when definitions are agreed and data is governed, which is where most executive programs begin.

Day to Day

Executive & Strategy workflows that run in Salesforce.

Forecast call preparation

Before the weekly forecast call, the CEO and CRO open Sales Cloud forecasting to compare committed, best-case and pipeline figures by region. They drill into deals that moved categories since last week, read the rep's notes on the opportunity, and arrive with specific questions instead of spending the meeting asking what changed.

Strategic account review

Ahead of a meeting with a top customer, an executive opens the account record to see open opportunities, active cases, recent escalations and contract dates together. An Einstein-generated summary highlights recent activity and open risks, so the leader walks in knowing the relationship's real condition, not just the latest email thread.

Board metrics refresh

Rather than rebuilding slides each quarter, the finance and strategy staff maintain a Tableau workbook that pulls bookings, retention and pipeline coverage from Salesforce alongside finance data. Executives review the same governed views month to month, and the board pack is assembled from them, which keeps definitions stable between meetings.

Initiative tracking on-platform

Company priorities, such as entering a new segment or launching a product line, are tagged on the relevant campaigns, opportunities and accounts. A leadership dashboard shows pipeline created and revenue won against each initiative, so a strategic bet can be judged on actual customer activity rather than status updates from its sponsor.

Customer escalation visibility

When a high-value account opens a severe case, Service Cloud escalation rules notify the executive sponsor with a link to the record. The leader can follow the case timeline, see who is working it and add a note, which makes executive involvement a deliberate choice rather than a surprise phone call from the customer.

Measure It

What executive & strategy leaders should track.

  • Pipeline coverageForecasting and opportunity reports compare open pipeline against quota by period and team, showing whether next quarter has enough qualified opportunity to support the plan.
  • Bookings versus forecastForecast snapshots preserve what leaders were told each week, so reports can compare the call against closed results and reveal which teams forecast reliably.
  • Net revenue retentionRenewal and expansion opportunities tied to existing accounts let Salesforce and Tableau reports track how much revenue the installed base keeps and grows over time.
  • Customer health by segmentCase volume, escalations, product usage from Data Cloud and renewal status roll up to account and segment dashboards that flag where relationships are weakening.
  • Initiative-attributed pipelineCampaign and opportunity fields linked to strategic initiatives let reports show pipeline and wins generated by each priority the leadership team funded.
Where to Start

Your first four steps.

  1. Agree on metric definitionsGet the leadership team to sign off on what counts as a booking, a qualified opportunity, a churned customer and an active account. Document each definition, name an owner for it, and build it once in Salesforce, so every later dashboard inherits the same meaning.
  2. Audit the data behind themBefore building any executive view, check whether the fields that feed it are actually filled in and current. Missing close dates, stale stages or duplicate accounts will undermine credibility quickly, so fix the capture problems at the source before presenting anything to the leadership team.
  3. Build one decision dashboardChoose the recurring meeting where leaders most need better information, often the weekly forecast or monthly business review. Design a single dashboard around the decisions made in that meeting, retire the spreadsheet it replaces, and let adoption there set the pattern for the next view.
  4. Introduce AI summaries carefullyOnce the data is trustworthy, turn on generated summaries for accounts and opportunities for a small group of leaders. Ask them to compare summaries with what they know, note gaps, and refine prompts and field access before extending the feature to a wider executive audience.
FAQ

Salesforce for executive & strategy: questions.

Can Salesforce be our single executive dashboard?

It can cover the customer and revenue side well, but most companies also need finance, workforce and operational data that live elsewhere. Salesforce dashboards handle CRM views, while Tableau or Data Cloud can combine CRM data with other sources for a fuller company picture. We usually design an executive layer that uses Salesforce as the authoritative source for customer data and pulls other systems in only where leaders actually use them.

Why do executives stop trusting CRM numbers?

Usually because the numbers changed without explanation, or two reports disagreed in the same meeting. The fix is less about software and more about governance: agreed definitions, required fields at the right stage, validation rules, and a named owner for each metric. Once leaders see consistent numbers for a few cycles, trust returns, and they begin to ask questions of the data instead of about it.

How can AI help leaders inside Salesforce?

Practical uses today include summarizing an account or opportunity before a meeting, explaining why a forecast moved, drafting follow-up notes and answering questions about records in plain language. These features work only as well as the underlying data and permissions. We treat executive AI as a convenience layered on clean records, not a substitute for governance, and we test outputs with leaders before relying on them.

Do executives need to log into Salesforce?

Not necessarily every day. Many leaders prefer subscribed dashboards delivered by email, mobile access for quick checks, or Tableau views embedded where they already work. What matters is that whatever they see comes from the same governed data frontline teams use. When executives do open records directly, it tends to raise data quality, because teams know their updates are being read.

What experience does Abstrakt bring to executive reporting?

We have been a Salesforce Consulting Partner since 2017, and our U.S.-based team holds 150 Salesforce certifications across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Tableau and related products. That breadth matters for executive work, because leadership views cut across every cloud a company runs. We focus on definitions and data quality first, so the dashboards leaders receive stay accurate after launch.
