Salesforce, AI & Revenue Operations

Salesforce consulting for Manufacturing

Manufacturing is where the integration story matters most. Sales, channel, service, and operations all touch the same products and the same customers, and they all need to see the same data. The companies winning right now have unified their go-to-market technology on top of their ERP, with AI deployed where it changes the cost structure.

How We Help

What we deliver for manufacturing firms.

Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud + CPQ

Account plans, sales agreements, demand forecasting, and CPQ configured for your product hierarchy and channel structure.

Channel partner platforms

Experience Cloud-based dealer/distributor portals with lead distribution, deal registration, co-marketing, training, and pipeline visibility.

ERP-CRM integration patterns

Proven bidirectional sync between Salesforce and NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics covering accounts, opportunities, orders, invoices, and inventory.

Field service and warranty

Field service mobility, warranty workflows, parts and inventory management, and AI-augmented service operations.

Aftermarket parts and service tracking

Salesforce data model and workflows specifically for aftermarket revenue, parts orders, service contracts, warranty claims, and customer lifecycle value.

Channel sell-through analytics

Integration with distributor systems and POS feeds for true sell-through visibility, not just sell-in revenue.

Common Challenges

What we see in manufacturing.

The technology and process challenges that come up in nearly every engagement we run in this industry.

Channel and partner sales complexity

Distributors, dealers, reps, every channel relationship has its own pricing, registration, deal protection, and visibility expectations.

CPQ for configured products

Configurable products with thousands of SKUs and channel-tier pricing exceed what most CPQ implementations can handle without significant architecture.

Forecasting against capacity

Sales forecasts that ignore production capacity are exercises in optimism. Connecting demand forecasting to capacity planning is a real integration problem.

Service and warranty workflows

For most manufacturers, aftermarket service is the most profitable part of the business, and the worst supported by their systems.

Aftermarket parts and service revenue tracking

Aftermarket revenue is often the most profitable part of the business and the most poorly tracked in CRM.

Distributor and dealer reporting visibility

Knowing what sells through versus sells in is hard. Most manufacturers cannot see the bottom of their channel.

Regulatory & Compliance Matters

What we navigate in manufacturing.

Compliance is not a separate workstream, it is embedded in every workflow we deliver. The major frameworks we work within:

ITAR / EAR Export Controls

Controlled item tracking, deemed export risk, and customer screening workflow for regulated products.

FDA / GMP (Medical Devices, Food)

Lot traceability, batch records, complaint handling, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records compliance.

ISO 9001 / AS9100 / IATF 16949

Quality management system evidence, corrective action workflows, and audit-ready documentation.

Conflict Minerals (Dodd-Frank 1502)

Supply-chain due diligence and SEC reporting workflows for 3TG minerals.

OSHA Recordkeeping

Injury and illness logs, near-miss tracking, and OSHA 300/300A workflow at the plant level.

EPA / RCRA / TSCA

Hazardous waste tracking, chemical inventory reporting, and environmental compliance evidence.

Signature Service Categories

The major manufacturing practices our team runs.

Each category represents a deep specialization with dedicated playbooks, accelerators, and experienced consultants.

Channel & Dealer Enablement

PRM portals, deal registration, channel pricing, and dealer training infrastructure.

CPQ & Quote-to-Order

Configured CPQ for complex products, channel pricing tiers, and ERP-integrated order placement.

Field Service & Aftermarket

Salesforce Field Service, warranty management, parts and service revenue tracking.

ERP-CRM Integration

Bidirectional NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics integrations covering accounts, orders, invoices, inventory.

Manufacturing AI

Demand forecasting AI, document AI for RFPs and bids, and AI-augmented sales engineering.

Our framework for connecting field service, depot repair, parts, warranty, and customer self-service into one continuous workflow.

FAQ

Salesforce for manufacturing: common questions.

Do manufacturers need Manufacturing Cloud, or is Sales Cloud enough?

It depends on whether your revenue runs on recurring agreements with forecastable volumes. Manufacturing Cloud adds sales agreements and account-based forecasting that suit manufacturers selling on run-rate contracts. Project-based or build-to-order manufacturers often get more from Sales Cloud paired with Revenue Cloud for configuration and pricing. We review how you actually quote, forecast and book orders before recommending a license, because the wrong edition adds cost without adding value.

How should Salesforce connect to our ERP?

Your ERP should stay the system of record for inventory, pricing, orders and invoices, while Salesforce gives sales and service a working view of that data. The usual pattern syncs accounts and orders in both directions and reads inventory and invoice status on demand. A manufacturer we worked with integrated NetSuite and, within 30 days, went from zero Salesforce usage to all 99 reps active. Adoption followed because reps finally saw the order data they needed.

What does Field Service add for a manufacturer's service team?

Field Service gives installation and repair work the scheduling, skills matching and mobile tools that a shared calendar cannot. Technicians see the asset's history, the parts on their truck and the work order on a mobile device, while dispatchers balance territories and multi-day jobs. Paired with Experience Cloud, distributors and customers can open service requests and track status themselves, which keeps aftermarket revenue visible rather than buried in email.

Where does AI fit for manufacturers using Salesforce?

Manufacturers get the most from AI in quoting, service and channel work rather than on the plant floor. Agents can draft quotes from past configurations, summarize an account's order and warranty history before a call, or answer distributor questions about order status and documentation. For export-controlled products, access rules shaped by ITAR or EAR should govern what an agent can read or share. We start with a narrowly scoped use case and expand once it proves reliable.
